The range of research activities at GGSESTC is broad and deep. GGSESTC faculty members, alumni, graduate and undergraduate students conduct research in almost every field, and seek to expand human knowledge through analysis, innovation, and insight.

Dean Message

Research and Development: Research at GGSESTC, Bokaro is integral to the curricula of various departments of engineering and management. A Research & Development Cell has been constituted to mentor the students for research, innovative projects and other academic requirements. Under the able guidance of experienced faculty, the students conduct research work with the help of both printed and online journals and books available at the library. The college library has subscribed to DELNET which enables the students/users to connect with the resources of other national and international libraries. The students learn to identify technical and practical problems pertaining to their fields during their internships and interactions with industries. They formulate research designs and execute research projects. The Incubation Centre and various research laboratories are adequately equipped to simulate start-ups. The faculty members are engaged in extensive research work, publications and filing of patents apart from regular teaching. The Research & Development Cell organizes national and international conferences, lectures, science exhibition and Innovative Tech. Festival at regular intervals. The students and the teaching fraternity are encouraged to subscribe to Google Scholar, Research Gate, vidwan.inflibnet.ac.in and other expert database research networks. Many faculty members from GGSESTC, Bokaro are members on panels of reputed Universities for supervision and evaluation of Ph.D. theses. The Research & Development Cell also receives research proposals from industries and institutions in the fields of engineering, environment and management from industry and academia.

Research Facilities

In order to provide the research facilities, the GGSESTC’s Research Cell has developed different research-oriented laboratory facilities for each individual department. The scholars can do inter-disciplinary work in any of the laboratories as mentioned below:

• The laboratories such as Electrical Machines and Drives laboratory, Advanced Mobile Communication laboratory and VLSI design laboratory were built with state-of-the-art facilities in such a way that classes can be held for both the UG and PG courses. The facilities in the laboratories also have extensive scope for carrying out projects and research activities for the future generation.
• The Electrical Machines are low power machines to suit the condition of the earth. The machines are integrated with Lab. VIEW software to test and analyze the performance parameters.
• The Electronics laboratory is established with Cadence software which is useful in understanding the chip design.
• A research laboratory having various sensors and data acquisition systems is established to experiment and interact with real world.
• State-of-the-art Power Systems Laboratory has been established which enables the Under-graduate, Post-graduate and Research scholars to enrich their knowledge by using SCADA and Mipower software. The prototypes for Generation, Transmission and Distribution of power are available to study the system performance in a practical manner.

Calling of Proposal (Research / Project)
